Government College University Faisalabad

GC University Faisalabad(GCUF) is an overall population research college situated in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
The GC University adventure began as a grade school in 1897 in the present working of Govt. School for Ladies, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. It was elevated to Secondary School and Moderate School in 1905 and 1924 separately. It was lifted to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate orders were presented in 1963. The long voyage that began with the unassuming starting achieved its peak when it was allowed the status of University in October 2002.


The GC University, Faisalabad has a long history of greatness and refinement as an establishment. Prestigious researchers and prominent identities have served this organization in different limits at different phases of its history. It has delivered remarkable staff who have earned extraordinary distinction for themselves as well as for the nation.There are no less than 43 nobel laureate connected with GC University is shifting limits. The well known physicist Ernest Rutherford worked here in mid twentieth century and proposed the Rutherford Model of nuclear structure while working in GC University which was then a Middle of the road college.

The illuminating presences like Mr. Abdul Hameed, Mr. W.H.F. Armstrong, Mr. Lala Chattan Annand, Mr. Hashmat Khan, Mr. Taj Khyal, Mr. Namdar Khan, Mr. Karamat Hussain Jafari, Mr. Mukhtar Mahmood Qureshi, Dr. Asif Iqbal Khan and Dr. Arif Zaidi have served this foundation.

The legislature of the Punjab pronounced Government School, Faisalabad an independent establishment in 1990. The school was given the status of college on 23 October 2002.[citation needed]

There are more than 35 resources in GCUF including Electrical Designing and Drug store. Electrical designing division is associated with Pakistan Building Chamber ([PEC]). Drug store is associated with Drug store Committee of Pakistan (PCP)

Microsoft Understudy Accomplice GCUF (MSP-GCUF) was established in 2013 by Hafiz Faraz Mukhtar(MSP) alongside Asma Sajid(Faculty of Software engineering, GCUF) and Moeen Qureshi(Administrator IT, GCUF). Each year an understudy is assigned by Microsoft Pakistan to speak to the college at globally, convey instructional meetings at grounds, make consciousness of IT and to energize and connect with understudies in local and worldwide rivalries.
